thats a horrible thing to say...i agree with you POO ON THEM!! be happy, i personally think teaching is one of the most noble, altruistic careers you can go into. as long as youre happy, thats what matters!!!
There's a program after college called Teach for America that recruits recent college grads of any major to teach in a rural or "inner-city" school for two years in order to help raise the level of education that those kids are currently getting.
Supposedly, the program's getting big results and being really helpful with bringing kids up to their age-appropriate reading/learning level. I've been thinking of applying---I admire your strength in wanting to pursue teaching as a career. I don't know if I have the endurance to be so patient and caring for the rest of my life, but I'd like to see if I can make what little difference I can.
There should be more people doing what you're doing. Don't let others' opinions get you down.

...This is Rahim, I lost my password, lol... ...On to the comment... ...First of all, the person who told you that you shouldn't "waste me time and patience on little kids." is obiviously not worth listening to when they don't know the difference between the words "me" and "my"... ...Unless ofcourse that was typo from you, which makes it all good... ...But it's not really "wasting" your time since, there is obviously worthwhile result at the end, atleast for you... ...And as for not making money, I wouldn't worry about that(Yes, I know I worry about that, lol)... ...You shouldn't worry cause you are ridiculously hot, which means you can snag any chevy-drivin' pimp... ...Or you can get married to me... ...I shoul me making 40 G's plus within the next years... ...Wun...
