They're doin' okay. Almost have things settled with the Ex. Trying to figure out how to get back to school to make the next step. Still halfway considering taking the option for a tour in Iraq or Afghanistan. (It would pay for my schooling, so I wouldn't have to work at the same time)

Ever get 'round to seeing "Gunner Palace"?

That's one option that is difficult to consider. I'd hate to see you there man. I don't know, maybe it's just because I've basically had to see all the worst places and, because of that, hate the whole country, but I'd prefer to keep you stateside. ESPECIALLY since you're working things out with the ex finally.

What's Gunner Palace?

Some soldiers in Iraq took over Uday's pleasure-palace in Iraq as their Company HQ. They lounge in the pool, take it easy, and then go on missions in the city. It's a documentary, essentially, but it's both amusing and informative.

Maybe it'll have no draw for you, having been over there, but I was curious what your thoughts would be, particularly because of that.

I'll have to check it out and then get back to you.

From a more personal stand point, we used one of Saddam's palaces as a little hang out directly following the invasion. We also used his little dock on the Euphrates in order for our Chaplain to Baptize those of us who wished to absolve our sins...not sure how effective it was, but it was definately a very spiritual encounter.
