Indeed. Nick Cave has a really interesting voice (I have him on my Sea Shanty's CD
Would that be the "Rouges Gallery" compilation? Look for 'Murder Ballads' and 'The Boatman's Call' from Nick Cave, gorgeous songs, I will have 'Into my arms' played at my wedding (and 'Mutiny in Heaven' played at my funeral! Muahaha!).

I find the dichotomy between tall, handome, PaulBettany!filmStephen and short, ugly, BernardLaporte!bookStephen quite hard to get my noddle around. But the film is completely brilliant, as are the books.
Yes, though mostly it's the fact that he's waaaaaaaaaaaay too tall for Maturin though I have trouble thinking of who else could have played him as well as Paul. I loved him in A Knights Tale - silly movie yes but Alan Tudyke was in it too and he is just awesome!
