I'm trying to motivate myself to do this. On my own, with no assistance.

Yeah, mostly I'm just sitting around drinking tequila. Not going so well. My motivation to look like that smokin' hot bitch in that 1370s book of hours is just not all that high.

Too bad steampunk isn't period for Pennsic. I guess there's my motivation to learn to sew, though. Just think, if I can master a supportive kirtle, how hard would a Victorian corset be? Then I could dress like Mamma Gkika!

Which would, perhaps, be scarier than I can actually stand to contemplate...

Oh man, doing a Mamma Gkika costume would be SO MUCH FUN! And I actually wouldn't make her corset out of fabric at all. It appears to be completely metal in the comics so I'd probably do a plaster mold and then use craft foam for the detailing.

One of the reasons I really want to go to Kumoricon in August (it's in Portland so I'd have to save up money for airfare but I think I can do it) is because there will supposedly be a huge group of GG cosplayers there and I know there will be at least one Mamma Gkika, and perhaps even Da Gurlz. I would KILL to attend and just follow them around the whole time with my tongue lolling, lol. OR have them do the same to me. Either way, the fun that would be had should be ILLEGAL! And if a Dimo and Oggie showed up... I would be able to die happy.

And OF COURSE there will be pictures! How could there not be?! Actually, if I get enough of my costume done tonight I'll do just like I said and get all dressed up. And there WILL be pictures of that, I can assure you. ^^
