The West Wing was my first internet fandom (back in 1999/2000 when the show was airing). I can talk West Wing anytime. :D

I just really love everything this show chooses to be. It gives me so many freaking feelings. Lol. Which at the moment are primarily ugh Josh and Donna you big idiots and meh Will and I miss Sam. I don't do well with major cast changes at times.

I loved Will. Which puts me in the minority, because that was never a popular fandom opinion, but Rob Lowe was being so weird at the time (he and Aaron Sorkin were both actively posting on TWoP at the time... Rob wasn't so bad, but Sorkin was a total dick) and Sam Seaborn's main fanbase were MAILING PENNIES to NBC and E! to promote their "Abolish the penny! Save Sam Seaborn!" campaign, which was clever, but also ridic because Rob Lowe WANTED to leave because he had thought he was going to be the lead on the show when it started and didn't like that he wasn't. Like... on E! News Daily, they showed these pennies to John Spencer and asked what he thought of them and he sort of stuttered his way through saying that it was nice that the fans liked Sam so much, but that he was definitely leaving. He looked so uncomfortable. It made me sad, and Joshua Malina had played my favorite character on Sorkin's previous show, so I was just prepared to love Will.

Toby is my favorite West Wing character.

Um wow that's.....special. I've heard bits and pieces about the whys behind Rob leaving and that Sorkin was pretty much a dbag about it all. Did not know the rest of it...eeeesh. I hate when entertainment news places ask actors about this obviously awkward stuff. Like I get its news but what do they expect people to say? I like Sam a lot but I'm not sure I would be as interested in the show if it had been set up like that...frankly I'm not sure how it would work but that's just me. After all that behind the scenes drama I can see how you'd be ready for it to just be over. I don't dislike Will or anything he's just kind of there for me right now. He may grow on me in the three seasons and change left.

I don't think I could pick a favorite. Lol.

I love pretty much everyone. I'm in S4 now and so Sam has left leaving us with Will who atm I'm sort of meh on. Though there is still plenty of time for him to grow on me. I just miss the original dynamic. Lol. Toby is pretty great. I finished the episode where they all go to CA for Sam. Toby talking away on his cell in the
police station is great stuff.
