Adventures in Rollerblading

I decided to go rollerblading today for the first time this year. Probably because Doug is getting a membership to the Ymca. It kinda shows how different we are because I cannot stand to exercise in doors standing or sitting in one place. I prefer something where the senery is constantly changing or playing sports or something else fun like that ( Read more... )

I am the same way. I like exercise that is productive and beneficial at the same time. I like to be on the move, not standing in one place. I like bike riding, walking, roller blading. Bike riding is great since it can serve as transportation, as well as exercise. There are also those people who rollerblade to work. Some use the subway for the major distance, then "blade" to work from the train station. Some people live with those things on their feet too.

Oh that actually reminds me I should start biking again. I used to do that all the time too. Before I had a car that was my main form of transportation. Great exercise and fun too! I don't think I'll ever understand the running in place and starring at a wall or other people running in place.

My sister is one of those people who almost lives in her rollerblades. Everyday she has off she goes rollerblading. I think she and a friend of hers are actually planning on doing a rollerblade marathon this year. I might think of doing it too...maybe.

Neat picture, Sarah! :)

I've been intending to get out and start riding my bike again, but it's just no fun by yourself, especially when the route you plan to take (or prefer to take) is about 75 miles roundtrip... =0

Have taken before, and want to take again. ;)

The first time I took it was in preperation for the California AIDS ride in where you bike 575 miles from San Francisco to Los Angeles in a matter of 6 days! 100 or so miles a day! =0 I didn't end up doing the ride though as we had to raise $2700 in sponsors to go. =\ I did most of the training rides to prepare for it though.

Wow, that sounds like alot of work, but also like alot of fun. Too bad you didn't get to go on that trip. :( Thats something I would like to do, but I don't think I'd really want to raise that much money either.
