feeling a little verbose tonight, my apologies

One of my clearest and most fondest childhood memories is of me and my older brother being Batman and Robin. We would attach towels to the backs of our shirts and tumble around the kitchen, no doubt fighting crime and being the most dynamic duo we could be. There was never any argument over who would be who; he was always Batman and I was always ( Read more... )

I just have to say, that image of you and your brother tumbling around with towels is the just the cutest thing. It reminds me of when I was small and my cousins and I would play Sailor Moon on the trampoline with scraps of cloth tied around the waists of our swimsuits.

Also, your story reminded me of the adorable little letter at the beginning of this essay:

XD

Now, I really do want to read/watch Dick Grayson. Any recs on where to start with him? His numerous appearances are somewhat intimidating. (also, can I just say, I am so happy he learned how to wear pants as he got older. XD)

And SUPERDICKERY.COM is hilarious!

I've been meaning to watch Six Feet Under for ages; I just never seem to think about it when I'm on the prowl for new TV ( ... )

Awww, you and your cousins jumping around as Sailor Scouts is equally cute! I love how you improvised the outfits. Kids are so resourceful! XD

That essay was an interesting read. Thanks for linking to it. And the letter KILLED me with cuteness, omg!

I honestly don't know what direction to point you in for Dick Grayson...so I will point you in many directions all at once, hopefully in an organized manner!

old school Robin:
A ton of different versions of Robin's catchphrase, all in a handy video. Try to watch without laughing

old, awesome Batman cartoon from the 90s:
intro video (the music was always so epic!)

Unfortunately, I can't find anywhere online to watch the two best Robin-centric episodes, Robin's Reckoning. :( The first part even won an Emmy.

Nightwing:
comic scans capturing his insufferable nature
a list that proves he is an infamous manwhore a ladies' man

Teen Titans:
I don't have much, but here's the Teen Titans intro, because it's catchy

as Batman:
He will eat pizza on patrol, that's the sort of Batman he is

Omg, those Dick and Damian comics CRACKED ME UP! Guh, I <3 them so much! I really liked the Dick being a doofus and reopening old wounds one too!

And the Holy~ video was just spectacularly cracktastic.

Though I think I should be mad at you, because now I'm filled with the undeniable urge to go read all the Dick!Batman/Damian comics, and IT'S NOT GOOD FOR ME, I TELL YOU!!

I've also been trying to watch Teen Titans, though finding the eps online is a pain. Liked what I have seen so far though! (Weirdest thing, apparently a bunch of the eps on youtube are...flipped. Like mirror image. Didn't notice til I saw the opener and the words were backwards >< How does that even happen ( ... )

Dick/Damian stuff always brings the lolz! XD I hope you got a chance to read some of Dick's run as Batman. It's not always as cracktastic and hilarious as the fanart, of course, but it has it's moments.

It's also bittersweet now that it's been revealed that Dick and Damian won't be working together anymore for the Reboot...The fanart is BREAKING MY HEART. Seriously. ;__;

I, too, was frustrated by the lack of Teen Titans online (so used to everything being online and up for grabs, heh). I ended up just buying the first season on eBay because it was so cheap. And the rest of the seasons look pretty affordable too. I never noticed the flipped videos! o__O I have no idea how that happens, haha. Weird!
