Water Dog!

John and Ginger (aka the Corndog) and I walked to Walnut Creek Park Saturday. We were feeling guilty because we've been so busy lately that there has been little time for long walks and extended playtimes, so we thought we'd thoroughly wear her out. I know. What were WE thinking? We brought along AirDog, which is a tennis ball that has been ( Read more... )

I'm soooooo glad you're back to doing your lj. I enjoyed it. AND, yes, you did eat some of your green beans! Good girl! Watching you and John "arrange" your salads was great. You're very "symbiotic." Waste not - want not. Love you!

It's been forever since I've seen you. We should do something sometime soon or something.

Are you doing TriZones for your half training, or just kinda doing your own thing?

Yes, why don't we do a thing at a time at a place.

I am doing TriZones for the warmup season and then doing a modified Danskin (doing WOL and own-thing and whatever TriZoney thing the WOLs do) training for the half. Should be a very busy season. If we can coordinate times, I would love to do some bike rides and swims with you.

What swim program are you doing? I'd like to get into something outdoors and not too early. I really liked my 11 AM Saturday group swims with Iron Chicks but they aren't offering it this year.

I am doing Team Texas at the Dell Community Center. I don't think you have to be a member, and there are tons of times that they meet. You can pick and choose according to your schedule. It's headed up by Keith and Sandy Bell. Lots of fun and incredibly varying skill levels.

I did that program last summer (after Danskin), the Sunday/Monday/Wednesday time slots. Keith and Sandy are awesome. Good luck juggling all your activities -- last year I did the WOL thing and the TZ thing and the TT thing. Oh and I worked too. You'll be very very busy.

Yay for Ginger the WaterDog!! Have you been to the Turkey Creek Trail near Emma Long park? It's very dog friendly and has a few water crossings too. We took Casey & Lexi there a few times and they loved it. Except for Lexi and the water part. But that's another story.

I am so not looking forward to our first TZ swim workout tonight. Not ready to swim! Nooooooooo!
