MIT careers fair today. I toddled along mildly smartly dressed and without a resume thinking "hmm, maybe I shall wander around and possibly get a free Firefox coffee mug", but ended up actually getting deep in conversation about job prospects with a bunch of companies. The recruitment woman at Shell jumped to attention when I said I was an ocean
