KoL, How I Love Thee

So Ive been playing alot of KoL lately and am loving it. My only problem is the interface... it's balky, antiquated and very old school. Sometimes this is pretty cool, and I get that the crew are trying to keep the interface lean to save bandwidth, but wouldn't it be better with special AJAX sauce? There are hints at interface improvements mind you

How did you find ForumWarz (which is AJAXy) ?

It was fun, but short. It is also quite slow when loadey.

I can see how they keep their overhead low, which must be really important while running rails. I'd love to see it with something having less backend overhead.
