It’s not their first date. Shy smiles and awkward conversation that breaks as he teases her about her Georgetown study habits seeping into every late night case they work. Diet cokes and Ramen noodles and dead silence.

And it’s not the first time he kisses her against his condo door (his hands tangling in her hair as he whispers against her skin).

Or the first night he comes to her apartment loaded down with take-out, file folders, and a movie. He spends the night alternately stealing snow peas from her box of food and answering Grace’s questions about this year’s Bulls team (things with Chance must be getting pretty serious...). It feels honest and warm and right, but she’s still not sure.

The moment she realizes-knows-she loves him is during that first road trip. The first time he won’t stop and ask for directions. Driving south down I-90 to interview a potential witness. The rain had started to fall and

Aaaah, Liz. Aaaah, Willicia. Loves. LOVES.

A. You rocked the first person. I like it. It's different. Fresh. Fits when them, for some reason.

B. IDK if you meant for this to stand out, but in the beginning one of the things I noticed and loved was Will interacting w/Alicia's kids -- I think us Willicia writers sometimes like to forget about how HARD it would be, if they got together, to get to the place where he is family with her family. But it was lovely to see.

C. I JUST LOVE IT. And how a simple moment like that, can make her realize that she loves him. Perfect.

I didn't know if anyone would notice the inclusion of Grace or the importance of it, but I felt it would be something she noticed and appreciated. I'm so happy that it stood out to you and the simplicity of the moment resonated as well.

heee. something about the innate maleness of it made me think it was perfect for this - something you wouldn't think would make her more attracted to him and yet, it does.
