Alicia scrambles to hold onto Florrick/Agos’ biggest client as the firm continues to struggle with an internal legal crisis. Meanwhile, Diane continues to plot her move from Lockhart/Gardner and looks for partners to bring with her to the new firm.

If I weren't so convinced about JM's behind-the-scenes meddling, I would almost be holding out hope that the continued A/K desert is because they are waiting for the perfect moment for the eventual reunion -- when ample time and energy is available to give attention to do that plot right. I am just so sure that JM won't let things progress ever again past "A/K are civil," and JM's sourpuss is where my optimism goes to die. :(Look, I concede you're right that JM is unlikely to let anything that I want to see come to pass between Alicia and Kalinda. However, I guess I trust in Archie's ability to silently Kalicia the fuck out of anything they get...and JM giving in to the chemistry without meaning to ( ... )

LOL, I wasn't counting, but then...love those people on Tumblr, God bless them. When I saw 30, then 31, then 32 episodes and counting, I kinda started counted too.

And my cold little black heart is just cackling now that I see OTHER people noticing and counting, too. It's kinda funny and I'm thinking it will become more so now that people of more importance have taken notice. It will be interesting to keep seeing Robert trying to ignore the facts, or worse, coming up with some bullshit excuses.

I think this is the point. It's not possible for someone like Jace to say "this is an issue" unless it's an issue in fandom. And now that the stalwart whingers have been validated there's fresh air to the issue and more people are complaining. There are people now counting on TGW Confessions blog for instance.

I was busy eyerolling that the one time Kalinda was sitting in on Cary's proceedings, Diane was there arguing his case rather than Alicia. What a coincidence! Structural barriers! Reality! All of that.

Well, the judge *did* get Alicia disqualified via Finn from representing Cary because she's also Bishop's lawyer. BUT the really convenient thing was Kalinda not being present to hear anything that came up when Alicia was questioned as a witness. We know K wasn't out investigating Bishop, because he walked into the courtroom then.

Whatever show!!!

See, now you've set me up to expect some huge DRAMA occurring that involves endangerment of Alicia somehow and of course Kalinda gets wind of this danger and swoops in and saves the Alicia (and the day while she's at it) and somehow they get trapped in a stairwell or something (cause you should never get into an elevator when it's on fire, y'know XP) and they HAVE to talk. They HAVE to sort out some of their feelings. Or like they have FEELINGS when they are both getting treated for smoke inhalation or whatever side effects occur from the major trouble.

I think it's possible, but I can't see it ever going back to them sharing 2 or 3 scenes an episode. Maybe we'll reach some point where every 5 eps they have a scene that JM grudgingly agrees to.

I'll probably be back later for more involved assessment, but for now, here's a few quick thoughts ( ... )

I'm loving Diane more and more in the mix of all this. She was saying goodbye to Will and their partnership too, as she left the office, and Baranski is good enough that you could feel it.

I still root for Alicia in a complicated way, which is why I still like the show. Everybody (yes, even Kalinda) sucks somewhat, and everybody allows you to understand why. I really hope that they are able to play out the consequences of the Kalinda and Bishop dialogue, though--like the emotional consequences for Kalinda. The show does have some challenges with its portrayals of POC already (it used to be so good at that! but the last coupla seasons … not so much), and I would not be happy to see them be that careless with those men's lives or Kalinda's understanding of that.

Those are my first thoughts …

dum dada dum. I smell a fic! Kalinda. Bishop. Emotional Payoff. I think I'm in love.

And by this I of course mean one that you write because lord knows it would take me an eternity. Plus - you've got skills and it's been a while.

Awwww! Thanks. We'll see what happens. I wrote a scene a while ago with Kalinda right after Will's death, and I have been considering linking it up with something else, but haven't had any ideas. We'll see …

I think we *might* get served on this one. The second talk with soccer dad Bishop ended without conclusion, and at a guess I think this will be the content of the scene of Kalinda and Cary in next week's preview. She's looking out a rainy window, and then examining slice Bishop put in Cary's hand. Sounds like weighing consequences to me.

It's horrible isn't it? Kalinda has been the only person who genuinely objected to taking Bishop on as a client. She's been shown to be terrified of him since Season 2. And now she's the one making Sophie's choice. GAH!
