Alicia/Kalinda -- Kalinda has always found it easier to fuck strangers, so in a way it's better now that Alicia has become one.

The fic got a little away from the prompt, but it definitely started there. (It also has the dubious distinction of being the first sex scene I've ever written. Which might be a warning in and of itself.)

StrangerThe headlights of a passing car slice the room with brief illumination - just long enough to throw the figure before Kalinda into sharp relief - before plunging it back into darkness ( ... )

Aaaaah, it's all I could have wanted -- is it really your first sex scene? Can that really be true?? I love the metaphorical (and not) push and pull of them, the inability to break away or have it be more. It's so lovely and painful and GOD, I WANT SO MUCH MORE FOR THEM, WHY DOES THIS FEEL MORE LIKELY?

I hope you don't mind that my head-canon for this fic is that it ends like The Shower Fic where all the seemingly random trysts end up being True Love. Sorry, I am what I am.

Thank you! This is beautiful!!

Due to personal wiring issues, I really wouldn't know where to begin to write a passionate sex scene where the viewpoint character's really into it, so I've traditionally made eyes at Louisa to write them instead, where necessary.

This one didn't exactly have that problem, so it was kind of fun writing new territory.

I was originally vaguely thinking about having the fic chronicle a progression over a period of time, but instead it turned into this, a strong single scene. But with a hint of change! We can be optimistic together about them working their problems out!

Oh, okay, that makes more sense than there just never having been sex in your fics before. I think it suits you marvelously in the fic-verse! :)

I would happily read a follow-up about the next "hint of change," just sayin'.

This is freaking perfect! Painfully so...

I've started writing on the same prompt so it's very interesting to read your take on it. (Great prompt eh?) I really loved what you did with it.

I hope since you've already finished this, we'll get to read more from you.

Thanks! This was a very unusual piece for me. Not only in that it was my first sex scene, but it was also very sensory based, which I traditionally suck at.

It's definitely a great prompt - all of yesterday I knew that I was going to do *something* with it, but it wasn't until the evening that I actually managed to figure out what by dint of writing it. I'll be interested to see what you do with it, and how angsty it is. (If you manage to avoid angst entirely, I'll be highly impressed.)

None of the other prompts have spoken to me as of yet, but if one does, I'll try my best. :)

I think I'd better write some more A/K prompts in that case!

My version of this prompt is an angst-free gigglefest. Not ;-)

Love is a battlefield...

This is just the perfect sex scene for Alicia and Kalinda right now: great fic!

Please do explore writing about sex some more if inspiration strikes again, it's totally worth it! ;-)

Thanks!

It's not like I wouldn't mind the opportunity to write slightly less angsty fics without a sizeable timeskip, but, alas, canon.

So you don't think my first attempt was too awful? :)

I think the sex scene itself (quite apart from its wonderful context) is great. Definitely NOT awful. And territory you should feel confident about writing again.

Not at all, you know I have a soft spot for erotic fics! ^^ This was just the perfect tone for those two at this time and place in their ahem, relationship.

Canon, who needs canon when there is such a thing as science fiction! By all means, do skip time ;-)

Oooh, this is a nice one. I like the description and the spare dialogue.

Oh man, this is depressing and painful and amazing.

Your vivid imagery is beautiful. I especially like the sharp flashes of light from the car headlights. And I love that it's Kalinda who can't stop herself from asking what they're doing. You just know she wants more but knows she can never have it. My poor bb. D:

It's a very not-me kind of story. Sex and vivid descriptions? What is the world coming to? The angst level is about right, though.

In the back of my mind, I was comparing the slices of light to the situation slowly flensing Kalinda, but that was a more subliminal thing.

Thanks!
