Wow that sucks. It will always be the ones that you love that will be able to hurt you the most because those are the people who's opinions matter most, and we take things more personally when it comes to them. It's better to be friends with someone before you tell them you like them like that because it will really get the idea of how well you two click together. We aviod the truth sometimes because maybe the truth is too hard to face, same with our friends. And I don't know why most guys are asswholes. But they are and I'm really sorry your friend is going through that. I'm sure she doesn't deserve it.
