Copied from only the coolest people!

Meme-age. I went to googlism.com and searched for the names of a couple Queer as Folk characters, then chose some of the most intriguing results. Your mission is to get inspired by one or two of these and write a drabble based on it, then post it here.

What fun!

Okay, here's a longish drabble. I chose: Justin is an ardent ornithologist and has only recently discovered a new species of bird at the abbey.

Um, I know many people already wrote for this, but I couldn't resist -

justin is an ardent ornithologist and has only recently discovered a new species of bird at the abbey

His pencil zips across the page, capturing the new species in all its glory. As he draws, he labels his diagram conscientiously: plumage, a dark, glossy brown; tail feathers, at least nine inches long; wings, elegant and tapering. He adjusts his binoculars to get a better view, stopping to note an anomaly on the bird’s right wing - a speckled band, completely encircling its wing-tip. Fascinating.

The bird somehow seems to know whenever he’s observing it, but appears to bask in the attention; preening and posing with wings arrogantly flared. Justin always half-expects it to fly away, but it never does.
