Oh jesus. I promised myself no more genderswap, but then you wrote it and of course I couldn't stop myself.
Dean can feel her all around him, and he wants to crawl into Sam's mouth, into Sam's cunt, and just never leave this place where he is surrounded, where he is loved.
Oh Dean.
Dean’s brother is gone, and Dean never got to hold him, never got to touch him like this, and never will. Sam is here, but Dean’s brother is dead.
You killed me with all the bits about Dean wishing for the old Sam. The part with them in the bathroom and Dean thinking about assfucking and seeing Sam's face in the mirror, GOD. This was so perfect. It almost makes up for all the bad genderswap ever written.
I'm so glad that Dean wishing for the old Sam worked for you. That was part of why I wrote the fic, actually... how would Dean react to Sam being changed permanently, especially considering the fact that so much of their identity is tied up in being brothers...
And it almost makes up for all the bad genderswap ever written? That's great to hear. Hee. Thank you so much!
Whoa. I never read Sam/Dean fics because I don't really like the whole incest thing. But you got me at the title and the warnings, and I didn't even notice that it had spoilers for S2 (though I'm still watching S1), because this story is that good.
Being a fan of your QaF fiction, I already loved your writing style - but I was used to other characters interacting in the story. But, the way you rendered Dean's voice was just spot on. Even if the incest still squicked me a bit out, Sam and Dean's characterizations were so believable that I could almost imagine it happening!
Great work! (and "As We Are So Wonderfully Done With Each Other" is going into my memories' folder!)
Wow! It's a great compliment that you enjoyed it even though you're not into Wincest. Thanks! And eeek, I hope you didn't get too spoiled. I think most of it's pretty vague, at least hopefully...
This really stuck with me even after I read it and just wouldn't let go, the details in and the ease with which you created this au was amazing. I couldn't figure out why I loved it so much and believed it, maybe it was because you made no excuses for their confusion and loss or that you seemed to really get both point of views in this so very weird predicament or it was the settling down and the not ever really gone fear of losing more and just holding on. Maybe it was the way you move their hands because I've got this major thing for hands. Whatever it was, it won't let go. Wow! Colleen
Oh, wow, thank you so much for the lovely comment. And I love that you mentioned hands -- I have a thing for hands, too, and I hadn't even realized just how much I mentioned them in my writing until I read your comment. I think hands and gestures are incredibly important, so I'm glad that worked for you!

It’s not until Dean stops grieving that he even realizes that’s what he was doing in the first place. [...] It’s just all Sam.
Gorgeous.
