Not necessarily. I got obsessed with Davy Jones from POTC 2 and 3, and I ended up collecting a ton of stuff of his character and getting all kinds of autographed things from the man who voiced him, Bill Nighy. I also wrote a lot of fanfic quite obsessively as well. Now if you can't think about anything else and start stalking the actor or whatever then that's going to be a problem. But most fandom is perfectly harmless.

*nods* I'd agree with you there. Most fandom is indeed pretty harmless, and stalking is indeed going too far. I'm doing the fic and collecting things as well with Pepper, but oddly don't feel pressed to pursue much information about the actress who plays her, Naomi Grossman, if it isn't Pepper-related. Though I'd be willing to watch any other shows she popped up in as she's certainly very talented! :)
