A het sex scene - with the male character in control for a short while.

It's still not my kink. I still prefer slash or femdom muchly.

But it didn't squick me as much as I thought it would...

This was for Saw, over at the angelfiends community. Zep/Amanda. I only did it as part of a fic exchange request.

That certainly wasn't the pairing I was expecting to hear, lol. That being said, I could imagine Zep taking on either a submissive or dominant role; his test was meant to encourage him to be more powerful, after all, and he seemed to be enjoying his power. It's a little more difficult to imagine Amanda submitting to another apprentice, but not unfathomable.

I see what you mean - it was more a temporary role exchange to amuse John. Definitely not a permanent role reversal - I don't think I could ever write that or believe it! :O

That really makes me think about the things that I choose to write. I don't think I've ever written a het sex scene where the man was in charge. Usually my men are either subservient to or in adoration of the woman. I don't know if I'd be willing or able to write anything where the male was dominate or a woman was being abused, even consensually. I've written also written stories where men were raped or coerced but I don't think I could do that to a female character. The idea is too upsetting to me and also I find there's already so much of it out there.

I agree with you for the most part. Usually I prefer to write as you do - I too find there's too much female submission in het fics and I usually want dominant females to increase diversity, and for very much the same reasons you do. This, however, was a request for a good friend in a fic exchange with a small amount of participants. I think the main reason it didn't squick me too much was that I was in control and could change it any time I wanted, unlike with a fic written by someone else. Hope that makes sense!
