I do recommend - get yourself a copy of "The Case of Charles Dexter Ward" and you'll see what I'm talking about.

And I am also so tempted to write Joseph making a pass at his descendant Charles and seeing what happens, or Charles visiting Simon in Prague and ZOMG being Curwen's spitting image and OMG hot!!!
