In the midst of all this giddy rush of jumping into webcomicking, I've realized I've never come up with an overall NAME for both the comic and the stories that I'm writing with H. I find London Shadows a bit too goth/noir for this (also seems like "shadow" is one of the more overused words in titles). And I'd probably avoid the non-English titles since most people won't know what they mean.
Archives etc sound a bit dry, but maybe that's what you want? Hmm. On the opposite end of things, maybe something like "Dreadful and Shocking" haha. ;)
While browing the wiki page for "Penny dreadful" I found the term "Story paper" which is interesting. Some of the individual titles might also be worth looking at.
Sorry this is probably not very helpful! At any rate, that video is great. I know I've seen that clip before, but the woman's super intense UNCHANGING FACE is amazing.

And on the contrary, your comments are very helpful and given me some more things to consider..thank you PY! And I am going to totally use " Dreadful and Shocking " in some way in the stories or comics or both, just too good not to use XD
So far as how I want to present it well...the stories do get into some pretty serious and dark stuff. However there is a touch of tongue-in-cheek here and there (glorious melodramas inspired it to begin with, how could there not be? ) I'll think on that
