So I finally am getting around to getting these two mini-fanmixes up for the two people who responded to this post.

To me this is first season and maybe very early season two Sam. The longer he spent on the road with Dean the more he realized he probably wouldn't ever make it back to school and he stuck in the life of a hunter whether he liked it or not.

This one's kind of a cheat because it was used on the show. However I think of it more in terms of Sam at this point (up to the Christmas episode). After everything he's gone through with being a chosen kid for the YED, learning his mom had some kind of knowledge about the whole thing, why any and everyone she ever knew has been killed, etc. Trying to piece it all together.

This song, and this part especially always puts me in mind of Brian. These particular lyric always made me think of him right after Justin got bashed or even after Justin left him for Ethan. Always so ready to let him go despite how self-destructive he would get while they were apart, but not yet ready to give up his pride and reputation to make him stay and admit what everyone already knew.

Everything is too perfect and you're waiting for the bottom to drop out. They love each other, but they want different things and go their separate ways.
