Awww, well, to each their own, but I personally loved this episode. Probably my favourite one of the season.
Watching this season has made me realise that I would have been deeply disappointed with the show if they had not brought HG back. Not just because of how much I love the character, but because I feel like redemption through death would have been taking the easy way out. I much prefer these awkward attempts to do good and trying to earn her place in the world the hard way.
I love every single character on this show, but I have A MILLION THOUGHTS about HG and she's only been in this season for like five minutes. I think it's probably true, that she's best used sparingly. It's certainly having an effect on me.
Hee, possibly I was a little too impatient with it, but I really had wished Steve and Claudia's plot would be more complicated than this. It was really nice meeting his mother, though.

Yes, absolutely. It would have been a standard redemption story, HG going out with a bang, but I'd much rather have her alive and trying very hard than dead and redeemed!
She's all by herself now, and that breaks my heart. :(((
