Woah, that was Mick Jagger in the audience! Great match so far.

(England fans, you'll not stop talking about Lampard's unfortunate not-goal for the next hundred years, won't you?)

Does this mean you'll also stop talking about the Hand of God? *prays*

Fabulous playing so far, BTW. Where was this England team in the group league?

Well yes, the defense wasn't up to the mark, but I was going to credit the German offence more for their fantastic play. But they kind of lost the plot some time during the second half.

The shameless someone is shameless, what can you expect? I admit, I think he's hilarious if occasionally extremely annoying.

Lampard's strike was definitely, definitely a goal. It's just bloody poor refereeing, that's what. And yeah, it's time FIFA thought about goal line technology.

Jagger was sitting next to Clinton at the US-Ghana game too!! :)

Am teaching and can't watch. My students are writing a test and I'm reading everyone's commentaries to bide the time. Tis amusing... XD

Jagger looked so dejected in the end. I felt sad. :(

What is with the English team and international tournaments? The same players play so well for their clubs! (I quote my father)

That's ok, at least the referees seemed to like your teams. What was it, 2 or 3 goals they took away from us? I felt like it was college football time again and I was sitting screaming at the refs..."WTF?? Are you #$%$$ blind???"....LOL...even though I have no clue how the game is played other than it's a lot of buff guys running around in shorts.

There has been some atrocious refereeing this year. Today's matches had two spectacular errors: England's Not Goal that was clearly a goal, and Argentina's Not Offside that was clearly an offside. The US team got a couple of unfortunate decisions in the group league, but they certainly weren't the only team. *g*
