She is so much fun here! They hired her with the promise of gold and violence, and well, she gets the gold all right and she has grown fond of this ship, but Captain Cuddy is (according to Amber) something of a wuss when it comes to bloodshed. She's always going on about not shedding blood unless it's absolutely necessary, and that suck-up of a First Mate keeps agreeing with everything she says. Someday Amber hopes to get her way, though. And anyway, she never liked House (not that anyone else does).

I don't know why but I'm seeing Firefly connections all over this! Amber is Jayne, Wilson is Book, Cuddy is Mal, Cameron is Zoe, Kutner is Wash, and Taub is Simon. Oh I love it. :)

Oh, this is totally part Firefly, even if it isn't Whedon's universe as such! Thirteen even steals cattle at one point. Cuddy is Mal, Cameron is Zoe and Amber is Jayne, of course, and Wilson is Book but also Simon because he is the Healer, and Taub is actually Wash because he's the super-competent pilot and Kutner is part geek, part Kaylee. I'll have to be a bit careful with the characterizations, though, because it wouldn't do to twist our canon characters too much. I am, however, completely in love with the idea of Jayne!Amber.

Jayne!Amber is such a thing of utmost awesome that I kinda want to clone your brain and keep it as a pet. ;D
