It's a comforting thought.

See, this is my number one reason for why I love this pairing so much. Foreman is the most likely to just think everyone is nuts, and Cuddy is the least nutty of them all, and so they can bond over the not-crazy.

Love love love how she's just so supremely competant, and Foreman is like '...That's hot.' Guh, your Cuddy, Cuddy in Foreman's eyes, is just so wonderful I can't even say. I just want to make out with this fic.

Also, I just have to add, way back in the planning stages of the fest I had the idea to do a 'She's the Boss: the official cuddy fest soundtrack' mixed tape - and then promptly forgot about it till just now. But 'Short Skirt Long Jacket' was the first song I thought of that had to be included. That is so the quintessential Cuddyisfreakinhot anthem for me.

In other words, this title = win.

It's mine too! It's as if they wrote the song for Cuddy. As soon as I had the plot figured out I knew the title had to be from that song. First I thought it would be something like 'She Cuts Through the Red Tape With Her Machete', but then this one stuck. *g*

You can still do the soundtrack...

Oh this is so lovely! I love your Cuddy, and how she's so competent and elegant. And the glimpse of her responsibilities, of the other things in the hospital she takes care of that we never see on the show, and the way it so effortlessly blends in with the things we *do* see, like dealing with House and all that. And Foreman/Cuddy! Yay!

Thank you for reading and commenting! Foreman prides himself on his competence, and he appreciates competence in others, so the only way I could imagine him being attracted to Cuddy is through her competence at what she does. And this prompt kind of begged for it. *g*

Oh, this is SO AWESOME. I've had it sitting in my "to read" file for over a month, and I'm glad I got around to it now. I completely love the way you've written Foreman and Cuddy here. You have their personalities down perfectly! And their evolution throughout the story is just perfect, the pacing spot-on. Thank you so much for writing this!

This is incredible!! I don't know how you do it, you are the only writer who can successfully Cuddy off with any character and make it a smooth success!
You make the characters click on some level and you just make it work :D

Hee, thank you! I love writing all kinds of pairings, and I took this prompt as a sort of challenge. It was incredibly difficult to write, because it was my first time writing Foreman, so I'm really glad it worked for you. *g*

Oh, wow. This is perfectly-written, and exactly how I would imagine Foreman and Cuddy's relationship to evolve. Foreman is more thoughtful than the other Ducklings, the one more likely to notice how hard Cuddy works. I especially loved the scene where he witnesses her with a patient, and how "real doctoring" transforms her.

Absolutely fantastic.

Hee, thank you. I absolutely adore Foreman and Cuddy's professional relationship, and I wish the show would do a little more with it.

Also, um, you mentioned an essay about Amber being fridged? May I have a link to it? Because a friend and I had similar discussions about her death (still bitter), and I'd like to see what you had to say - it's quite an unpopular opinion in fandom, but I'm sticking to it.

I just watched the Foreman-in-charge arc in S2, and there's so much fantastic Foreman/Cuddy interaction. It's a dynamic we never get to see, and it was so much fun to see what they made of it.
