Okay, this is seriously frustrating.

I have been working on finishing up my Lord of the Rings compilation. I want to have it completed once and for all by the time that the first Hobbit movie will come out. This is a disaster! Your liner notes - why you chose the tracks you did and the thinking behind their arrangement - help bring the mixes alive; make them personal. They are not small feats. Losing any work is disheartening, but I can't imagine attempting to "redo" a work that exhaustive.

I've been reading the semagic blog and doing google searches on filesystem types but haven't turned up anything yet :/

Indeed, this was no trivial loss. There are two files because it was too large for one; I had hit the character limit for a single LJ entry. They have to be on this drive somewhere (it's the rescued drive from my old laptop, everything else I was looking for was intact). If only there was a way to pull up the “recent files” menu from the drive's installation of Semagic… they were right there.

Whenever I think of the amount of work I put into these notes, I want to try finding them again… but I've tried everything I know how to do at this point (which is, admittedly, not much).

How could I have lost BOTH of those files… there is some detail I must be missing…
