  • I received my both the stereo and mono Beatles box sets and have begun to make new rips as part of my new music library. I had to explain what the situation was with the mono box set to a co-worker today, who was shocked to learn that the Beatles had little if anything to do with the stereo mixes on most of their albums. I loved the bittersweet and ultimately hopeful feeling of the Mad Men finale. It was surprisingly the show's least dark finale yet. I sure hope we haven't seen the last of Kinsey and Sal, though.

I can't imagine that we've seen the last of Sal. Too much has been invested in the character already. The only issue, however, is that Lucky Strike was one of the accounts that were transferred over, but we'll see. As far as Kinsey is concerned, we'll see. I think that he will be around, but with Our Boys going straight for Peggy and Harry, it's gotta hurt some.

I have to be honest, the "sad" part of the story was more about the breakup of the Draper's marriage, and I have a hard time being very sorry that's going away, especially after Betty's behavior this year. At least the Draper kids will have a little time away from Betty, who is a horrific mother on so many levels.

Yeah, it was hard to keep caring very much about the Draper marriage after this season. It's sad for the kids, but mostly I was relieved to finally see a big change happen with that.
