Once again I have just created two mixes in rapid succession. While the most recent, Alone In the Night: The Babylon Project was a completely new project, in this case I was revisiting a compilation I had considered successful. This new assembly is very similar to the old one, but with some minor revisions and alterations in program material.

I've never listened to Urban Danger until today, and it brought back many memories of watching these old cop shows on our black & white television when they made their network debut - that distinct funky sound which was so prevalent in the 70s.

Granted its not something I'll listen to often, but just like No Escape and Father to Son its nice to know that when I crave that particular style, the very best of the genre is at my fingertips.

I also much prefer the new cover art - its fantastic and conveys so much more (and the font doesn't lend itself to mistakenly reading is as the woefully inaccurate title of 'Urban Dancer')

Yes, I have been plagued by the "Urban Dancer" issue for quite some time, which accounts for the change in logo font. Obviously I had to remove Dirty Harry from the compilation that no longer bears any of his music, and so I went with the collage version you see here.

The new version is also somewhat more streamlined from a structural perspective as well, with a bit more variety at some points and I reigned in some of the more difficult passages on the original, eliminating one each of the Death Wish and French Connection II tracks in favor of including more upbeat material. It still has the momentum, but isn't quite as relentless.
