Sources on Neal Hefti's death

Several times in the last 24 hours reports of Neal Hefti's death have been removed from the Wikipedia article about him on the grounds that no reliable source was cited. A web URL of a newspaper obituary or the like would suffice. Same thing with Wikipedia's "recent deaths" list: reports of Hefti's death were deleted for the same reason.

Do you know such a URL or other source that can be cited?

You're right. I came across it on a message board, and it was corroborated initially by the usual suspects, but now I can't find a single official obit for him anywhere.

We may have all been scammed.

Edit: Unfortunately, it has been confirmed through Ken Kaufman of Hefti's talent agency, Hollywood RPM Entertainment that he did, indeed, pass on Saturday.
