I was wondering-What's up with that huge box set that sold out at SAE? How much was it going for and how long was it on the market, and by christ, is there any other way to get it? Billion Dollar Brain was on it!!! Oh, and now that I'm back, trade still good? I'm sorry, but I hardly ever check Livejournal these days so it's been a bit touch and go to say the least.
I ordered it from them. With any luck, they'll still have copies. Then, if you haven't dome the same, I was thinking of swapping that with your Shaft set along with the schifrins (Marquis and Bossa Nova) and Brannigan/Gloria.
Intrada has the best customer service period, so I'm not terribly worried about the box sets. I'm not meaning to denigrate either Screen Archives or MovieMusic.com, both of whom feature outstanding customer service, but Intrada has repeatedly gone above and beyond. I remember when they had a minor pressing issue on their copies of Tombstone and East of Eden, they sent a replacement disc without the customer even having to ask for it. All class, all the way. If we ordered it, we'll get it, especially as it now lists it unavailable.
I did order the Shaft set (along with a copy of Shaft in Africa on Hip-O, which just came in the mail yesterday). However, I would love to have the Schifrins. I'll make you the Brannigan and Gloria tonight.

Alas.
EDIT: All hope not necessarily lost. There appear to still be copies available at Intrada under "Upcoming Releases." No promises, though.
