High Definition

My television set is from the generation immediately preceding the current state of the art. When it was manufactured, HD signals were only available through cable or satellite, and so that was the standard. This means that while it is HD, it isn't full-on 1080p HD. Point of interest: I don't know if you picked this up in your Farscape research, or if you do what I do, which is check the IMDB history of the folks I like in movies and TV shows, but Virginia Hey (Zhaan) also plays Warrior Woman in The Road Warrior.

I had indeed come across that fact - I even sent suitboyskin a shocked text message when I realized it. I've watched the film now for the first time since I saw Farscape (and in high-def, too), and she is totally recognizable in the role, especially her voice!

I had a similar surprise. But for me it came differently. I was watching this at my buddy's place (who has BluRay player). He had listened to the director's commentary the night before. Part way through the movie said "oh, apparently she plays some blue woman in that sci fi show you like".

I nearly shit myself. It is so obvious it's her. Like you said, it's in the voice especially.

Here's one of the few cases where I think you can say this about a woman and get away with it: it's the hair!

Isn't The Road Warrior on Blu-ray redonkulotardedly amazing?
