...despite the irony that I was up late last night putting tracks together for my upcoming compilation, which will complete the "space" trilogy I've been working on with Space Opera and Space Invaders. It's going to be an mix consisting of things like Greg Edmonson's Firefly, Queen's Flash Gordon, Eric Serra's The Fifth Element, Louis and Bebe ( Read more... )

Space Odyssey? Space Age? Space Craft? Space Western? Space Men?

It might be easier for me to come up with one if I saw the whole track list. And where the heck can I get a copy when you're done? *_*

Hey... you were probably joking, but... "Space Age" might work...

There is no track list as yet because I haven't actually started assembling it as a whole, I've just been putting together some of the tracks that I will be including (as I said, I had to cut around the dialogue in "The Emperor Ming"), and haven't finished all my selections for the album. When I've finished it, I'll post the track listing and liner notes.

If you're interested in a copy, just e-mail me an address to send it to. You may also be interested in some of my other mixes (this one will, of course, be bundled with the other two "Space" discs, Space Opera and Space Invaders; when this one is finished, those will be moved to the compilation series section).

I use printable discs that are 100% slot loading compatible, so your car stereo and Mac are now safe from the malicious wiles of my album artwork.

I wasn't joking. I was really trying to come up with titles for you. :)

And why cut around dialog? Sometimes I like when my soundtracks have dialog, especially on Blade Runner. (Though I find the dialog bits on the second Gladiator album to be a bit intrusive.)

I don't like dialogue on my soundtrack albums because my preference is to follow the music on iz own terms. Dialogue, especially film dialogue, often distracts from that. Don't get me wrong, there are some dialogue soundtracks I enjoy very much (M*A*S*H, Simon Boswell's Hardware, etc.) for the most part I feel that the video explosion of the 80s rendered that form of soundtrack moot.

Once again... you're joking, but that could work...

I got my Season 1 & 2 Farscape soundtrack today (the theme will be appearing on this compilation as well) as well as the Starburst edition that allows me to pick up where I left off just before!!! I'm about to watch the next episode now!

Yes... I see that suitboyskin wasn't kidding when he referred to you as a Farscape pusherdyke when I mentioned my determination to continue watching the series. You start us off with free samples, and once we're hooked...
