As I have mentioned before, I am the keeper of the Ultimate Risk Set, which is a combination of three separate sets, thus allowing for large scale games. In addition to the standard rules of the game, we also have, over time, added certain elements. Each of them is merely an addition to the game (the rules haven't changed), but they add an extra spin to the whole affair.
Death Blossom
When a player just explodes all over the board. Usually ends with the player spread out too thin to be defensible next round.
Big Hurt
This is awarded to somebody who performs a particularly aggressive but successful action.
Big Boob
Not every move in Risk is as carefully considered as every other one.
Sodomized!!!
Every once and a while a player just gets takes a real beating, like if three other armies invade their territories in one round. That can really hurt. Hence the Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile.
Miscommunication
Huh? What? I thought you meant that you WANTED me to attack you this round...
Rambo
If a single army in a territory repulses four attacks by a much larger force, they are awarded the Rambo.
The Ineffectual Warrior
This is awarded to anybody who goes into a massive, expensive campaign and fails to make a significant gain.
Swiss Cheese Defense
This should be fairly self-explanatory. I have to admit that this is one that I was never satisfied with; that thing on the left side of the cheese was supposed to be a flaccid gunbarrel, but it never really registered.
The Wrath of Ahab
For those who claim the rite of vengeance (usually to the exclusion of prudence).
Artist: Brad
Yo, Chill
Offered to somebody who is acting particularly aggressively for no reason in particular.
The Pawn To Be Stomped Upon
Some people just are what they are.
Artist: Brad
1st One Out
As it was first written in the Scrolls of Skelos, first one out makes a Taco Bell run.
Artist: Brad
Indecisive Warrior
This should also be fairly self explanatory.
Artist: Brad
Roving Horde
A large band of personel that has no particular home base, but rather range across territories, conquering that which is in its path.
Treaty Gridlock
Sometimes there are just so many pacts going on in the game that nobody can do anything. The game grinds to a halt. The cannons rust. The horses age. The soldiers become restless and begin infighting.
Valiant But Futile Defense
You didn't really think you could get away with that, did you?
Russian Winter Defense
Just like the real thing... wait 'em out, watch their supply lines lengthen and the very terrain consume them. Hint: "Never get involved in a land war in Asia" is more than just a quote from The Princess Bride...
The Golden Hand of Wisdom
To be frank, neither I nor anybody else can remember for what occasion this was awarded. And it hasn't been awarded since. We just keep it around because... well... one day, maybe... someday...
The Spotlight
Sometimes players get away with quietly building up; if they are out of the way of the major thrust of the action, it might go unnoticed for a few rounds. This is issued to any player whose clandestine schemes are exposed by another.
