I watched The English Patient with Joe last night. About halfway through I said "this isn't very good, is it?" Joe agreed. It only got worse really.

Honestly, I think there's few other films that achieve such an incredible level of overblown melodramatic tosh without even offering you any real emotional investment in the characters. Gah!

I had to study it which meant I had to watch it all the way through. I think it took 2 sittings as I was nodding off.

There are a few decent quotes and sentiments in there but it does really drag on!
