I've spent the last few hours crocheting my beret and listening to Beatles songs. I've been thinking a lot about these songs since it's been a while since I had a Beatles listening time. Of course the words come rushing back to me, but the meanings are always fresh. A lot of the early ones are love songs...and it's so weird because I'm thinking of

I've never assumed that The Long and Winding Road is sweet. It's a mourning song. It's terribly depressing.

Yes. Beatles music is just a generally good feeling. And mhm, all the later Beatle stuff (Let it Be >.<) is depressing because you can just sense the tension.
