Title: If They Could Read My Mind Fandom: Stargate (SG1/SGA) Song: If The Government Could Read My Mind by The Vandals Subject: Cam/John [2:21 min] Notes/Warnings: Sparked by the repeal of DADT.
If you're on a mac, have you tried iMovie? It doesn't allow for non-linear timelines, but it's a pretty good program (and comes with the mac). I've got a cheat sheet in this comm somewhere if you're interested.
The one thing I don't like about Final Cut Express is that it lacks pre-made transitions like iMovie had. Not simple ones like cross-dissolve, but the complex ones like film strips and post cards, etc. Do you know what I'm talking about?
I've used iMovie. Its good I just get frustrated with the non-linear timelines :D
iMovie has pre-made transitions like that? I remember Final Cut having a ton of stuff but, we were using Final Cut Pro so many Express only has a limited number? I have no idea.
Oooh, FANTASTIC! Really, really great job! You've been working on those effects! And great choice of clips! Some of their expressions are just perfect. I know these two are a pain to vid, but you did a fabulous job.
Downloading now to put it on my DMP. It will keep me happy on the subway tomorrow. :D
Ahahaha! So many many sideway squints! So many sceptical looks! And wow, you really know how to work the angles and movements so the two sides of the story work, even though John and Cam are almost never in the same shot. And you really made those "Pegasus Project" clips work for you. I love that last shot of the Odyssey coming in for a landing at Atlantis!
Awe, thanks! They are difficult to wrangle in sometimes, those flyboys. :D
I had a story in my head about Cam visiting Atlantis after the repeal of DADT, then I vidded "literally" with some of the lyrics, so I wasn't sure if it was going to really work or not.

I'm so jealous of your vid making skillz (and your vid making program because eee, I learned on Final Cut but am too poor to get it for myself)
So awesome!!!

If FCE has them, I haven't found them. I should fiddle some more. You know... in my spare time. ;/

I wasn't sure if it was going to really work or not, but figured.. hey, it can just be about the pretty flyboys if nothing else.
