Wow, thank you! ^^! *heart* your icon. My friend Geordie bought me Ren and Stimpy DVDs for my birthday, actually!
(I've been kind of crazy/not replying to email/everything, I'll get back to you about the Big Mess (NCF/Bashant) later. It will take a lot of brain pain and typing. @_@)
I also love Ren and Stimpy!!!! Ren especially is my kind of guy, although I heart Stimpy's optimism. I hope you are feeling ok--don't worry about filling me in on the NCF stuff. Sounds like you've got a lot on your plate.
Hee. I admit I'm more fond of Stimpy, since he's less aggressive. Also his nose is magic.
But yeah, I... haven't been checking my email or lj much at all, haven't been replying much, having been doing my thesis, haven't been destressing like I really should. :\
So I leave you with something somebody else wrote about the meeting I had to miss (and I am waiting on updates on, whew):
"We're going to be talking about a lot of things like, - The Dean controlling the entire appeals process, and being able to increase punishments upon appeal - The Dean choosing which students will be on the disciplinary board. - The standard of guilt being "more likely than not" for decisions that could have very serious punishments. - Pool and filesharing being officially illegal in the code, a change made behind the backs of students who worked on it"
I think the proposed code of conduct is available on the ncf.edu homepage. @_@ I will try to update people, I just am super "argh!" at everything at the moment.
