I saw that article earlier and had to roll my eyes. I'm personally glad that the scripts got leaked earlier in the season, because god knows they needed to make those changes (and they STILL god-awful despite the changes, just much less offensive).
I also got a good laugh out of it though. They aren't award-caliber writers and they've already run through so many stereotypes and cliches, it's like--what's LEFT to keep secret? And we've all pretty much called the inevitable Chair reunion in the finale so why treat us like we're dumb?
Well, at any rate, at least the actors now have a legit excuse for why they'll be phoning it in in the last few episodes.
Matthew Settle has no damn idea what he is talking about, obviously. I wouldn't read anything into his words.
But yeah, this is definitely to combat the script leaks. But they are offbase because they were official-looking computer files, not copied scripts. Many were leaked before the episodes even began filming.
