[Just a few houses down at 339, Quinn watches from the kitchen window, while enjoying his coffee before work, as some kid wanders through the back yard. The kid doesn't look so good, so Quinn opens the back door.]

[Clutching his knife tighter as he turns towards the door, trying to decide if he should better run or attack the ...person. He cannot know if his theories are right, and until then he'll try to think about the people around him as humans. It makes things easier.

Maybe the guy isn't really interested and he can leave without much trouble.] 'm fine. [At least he has a knife, though it is nowhere near a blade that he would normally use in a fight.]

[huh, this kid looks kind of like Sweden Papa. oh well, there's more interesting things to deal with right now. like why he's in his backyard]

[Stops and stares at, trying to look dangerous. Which kind of fails despite his scary face since a) those are definitely little sheep on his pajamas and b) the knife is really a kitchen knife. Also c) he is shivering in the cold and d) it really is scarier with the added height and wight that getting older will bring.]

[ Jessica, who lives right next door at 335, thought she smelled smoke coming from somewhere, and when she heard an odd sound she decided to go outside to investigate. so how does she react when she sees the burning house? scream, of course. ]

[ then she notices sweden ] Hey, kid! Y-you there! What are you doing there? You alright?

[Well, on the one hand that sounds kind of familiar. On the other hand, people usually either start to run when they see their place attacked or they try to save the burning house/what is in there.

This is kind of an useless reaction. If she had told him to do something about it, he'd have understand that, but...

He's just staring at her for a bit, deep in thoughts. With the usual scary expression that means that he's thinking.]

... Hey, wait- [ that scary expression- and the hair- ] Y'know, you... look familiar. [ she walks a little closer to him, to get a better look- this boy looks way too much like the guy who used to be her husband before he got droned, the second time- and his drone was replaced with a generic one just this morning too, but-- ]

[She gets a long stare of silence as he tries to figure out who she is. There is no need to talk before you found a good answer; many men have digged their own grave talking before they think. Sometimes Denmark worries him a bit because of that.]

[After successfully escaping the house with Hanatamago (and making sure that neither Mato or Kanako were still inside), Finland's simply standing outside and lamely attempting to lessen some of the flames with a garden hose until the fire department arrives. He knows that the house will come back, but heck no he's not letting the sauna or his lily of the valley flowers burn up.

And then a little boy shows up. An eerily familiar little boy.]

[He takes an involuntary step back before his hand tightens around the knife, but he does not move away further. Is this the persont hat the house belongs to? Walking away just like that would be too obvious, though. And take it as you will, the burning house has one advantage: Near it, it is warm. he wants to stand here a moment longer.

...this man looks vaguely, very, very vaguely familiar.

This way of just staring you down while trying to come up with the right thing to do might make the familiar boy look even more familiar.]

[And Finland hesitates a bit before taking another step closer. There's no longer any doubt in his mind that this is Sweden. However, he's pushing aside whatever he's thinking and feeling and trying to concentrate on helping the younger boy.]
