Still feeling a total wreck, just want to stay in bed forever and sleep. I dreamt about him last night,he had come back and all was well.Was one of those dreams where it takes a while to register it was just a dream,opened my eyes expecting him to be there.So many reminders around the place

Yes, Pud will need to talk about Simon's leaving for a long time yet to come. It'll take him that long to process the information, and deal with the emotions that it produces. I'm afraid you're going to have to talk about Simon for a while yet. Better to slog through the chats rather than try to avoid them, for now at least.

I agree completely that a clean break and a different house would be by far the most sensible and kindest thing to do, both for yourself and Pud. Memories of when you were happy there, with S, will be far too painful to live with for a long time to come. Better to get out and get settled in somewhere that's completely unconnected.
