Herman the German Friendship cake

Since August I have had Herman bubbling on my kitchen counter, thanks to penelly. I liked it so much that I have always kept a portion for myself. I've given it away to friends and family, though it is proving difficult to find people who are interested. Do let me know if you'd like a portion!

Edit: I should add, I baked two Herman cakes for the school's

I'm willing to have some more starter if you are trying to get rid of it. I didn't love the first one I made, but maybe it's just a matter of trying a different recipe. :)

What a fascinating concept for making a cake (I'd not heard of a Herman the German Friendship Cake before!).

It sounds like a yummy cake - especially with your modifications. I don't know why it would be difficult to find people interested in receiving it!!

Well, I've given the starter mixture to 6 different people and I have three more potentials to arrange. If you follow the original feeding instructions, every 10 days you have 3 portions to give away (plus one to keep). So that's a lot!
