Wow, nice description. I checked out some pictures on google and that's just the kind of place I love going to. How close can you get to the pictographs? I don't know if I could handle something like the Hoodoos at night, I'd probably freak out. They remind me too much of Picnic at Hanging Rock which seriously freaked me out the first time I saw.

I've been to hanging rock, of pinic at hanging rock fame, as well. It is really cool. there is a big picni there evey year with "wild" foods jazz, and folk music, it is a blast.
You can get right up closeto the hoodoos touch them if you feal like being a pain in the but (sweat on you hands errods the rock)
but year it was really cool.

Sleeping out in the Sahara was kind of special for me - looking at a million stars and feeling the wonder and stillness of it all. Happy travels. Love Mum
