Well, I don't think Amy's ganger was self-aware; she was a vessel for human-Amy's consciousness, like the factory workers' gangers before the Lightning Incident. But the Doctor seemed uncomfortable with the way gangers were being used even before said incident, so it doesn't entirely erase the question.

yeah, s'pose you're right. did they ever address what would have happened if a human was disconnected from the network while a ganger was in operation? I can't remember. and the random pile of half-melted gangers, were they just generally 'aware' or were they still thinking they were the person concerned?

I hadn't spotted the double standard, but I agree, it was there. The Doctor sonicking ganger!Amy into a heap of goo was perilously close, visually, to him simply shooting her dead with like a vaporiser gun or something.

it did seem a bit harsh after the hammered-in message of the preceding two episodes!

yeah, presumably ganger!Amy would feel whatever she did - like the crew boss ganger experiencing the same headaches as the real one with the blood clot. (forgotten her name already, oops)

YES!!!!

No one else I've talked to seem bothered by that. Thankyou for seeing that massive injustice/lazy scriptwriting.

Amy!ganger obviously wasn't conning them, she didn't know what was happeing at all, she was scared and he killed her. Yeah she seemed more connected to original Amy than the other gangers did to their originals but that shouldn't make her any less worth while, even if other amy wouldnt wake up untill the ganger was dead, it doesn't take away the gangers status as a person with interests of equal worth to that of anyone else

He shouldn't have been so hasty. He and Rory could have had an Amy each...*sniggers*

OMG yes, I noticed this as well! I assumed he must have had some sign that she was deliberately conning him... weird.

I suppose as Riona says above, she wasn't independently aware like the others were - but it still seemed a bit harsh!
