being burned by sun rays is my fave part of vampire myth. I find it totally irrational. It's just WHY?!!

I love the ancient vampires who have the extra powers and who can withstand more damage or can even walk in the sun for a short while.

I... like many different kinds of vampires.
Harris, Armstrong and Caine all write Vampires I love going back to again and again. Hamilton has a few good Vamps...

Mythos wise, I like 'Lilith' or 'Cain' origin stories, or tories that use Babylonian or older mythology...

My pet peeves have turned out to be 'nanotech/ space parasite' Vampires... (Though, I found both Sands and Squires early books quite readable...)
