Please include me. I want to read both books so much.

While I read a lot of paranormal fiction, I dont read a lot of zombie fiction. But one I did read recently that I really liked was the Zombie Queen of Newbury High by Amanda Ashby and it was great. I highly recommend it. As for movies, while again I have not seen a lot the one I have that I did enjoy was Shaun of the Dead.

Shaun of the Dead. It makes me very happy inside.

Recently I've read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Whilst the history isn't entirely accurate, it was a very fun read!

I've also been shooting at zombies on 'Overkill' for the Wii. Such a fun game! :D

I love the cover of P&P with zombies, so cool, but haven't read it yet :-) Shooting zombies on the Wii sounds like lots of fun! We don't have one, but my brother's family do [and my neice forced me to get on the Wii fit ... umm not a good idea when you're someone that sits on your butt all day!]

[And wierdly, I seemed to have not replied to you before now ... and I thought I had, y'know replied to everyone - just in case you thought I was ignoring you on purpose :-)]

I'm going to have to go with Shaun of the Dead too! Funny movie, that. Though, to be honest, I'm not a huge fan of zombies. My friends laugh at me when I tell them it's because zombies aren't pretty. Heh heh. Normally, I steer clear of anything that has to do with zombies but I'm willing to give The Forest of Hands and Teeth the benefit of the doubt 'cause everyone keeps giving it the thumbs up. :)

I really am going to have to watch SofD without the cushions, and try and get past the first ten mins LOL!

Yep, zombies are more on the scary, rather than the pretty side, so wasn't sure about The Forest of Hands and Teeth either, but I *really* enjoyed it :-)

I'll read The Forest of Hands and Teeth if you'll watch the entirety of Shaun of the Dead without the cushions. :D

Challenge accepted! But Shaun will have to wait his turn [I'll have to record him first next time he's on, then find time to watch - my icon explains it all] but I'll let you know :-)

Okay, I may be in the wrong place here because I don't horror very well at all; there were a couple of scenes in freaking Grindhouse that I couldn't watch, and once I got halfway through the book The Exorcist I was forced to put it down and only read it in brightly lit areas, surrounded by other people, with library quiet rather than the soundtrack from the anime Hellsing coming at me over my computer speakers. My lowest tolerance is to being startled, or to dramatic and very nasty mutations in the human anatomy. Ergo, vampire movies good, zombie/plague/general-purpose mindfuck movies not so much.

Yes, I'm a wuss. I shriek and fall down when someone sneaks up on me. Shut up.

But DragonKaty said that this would be a good place to leave props for something involving Zombies, so... in the American manga Van Von Hunter, zombies only pop in maybe half the time but they're uproariously funny. It's a story that makes a clever mockery about a lot of tried-and-true fantasy stuff, such as a necromancer villainess's 'armor' being ridiculously ( ... )

'Yes, I'm a wuss. I shriek and fall down when someone sneaks up on me.'

LOL! Me too!!

'Arrows are just magically drawn to--and then repelled by--the boob-plates!'

What a great idea, love it! Thanks for dropping by :-)
