This was very well written. I forgot to put it in my review of DG7YFH but I loved how McGonagall stood up to Snape there and how all the Gryffindors were willing to defend her, but after all, she's a Gryffindor herself ^_^

I loved how you wrote her here. She's one of my favorite characters and I felt you did a wonderful thing with her in this story.

Snape... well, I can't get myself to like him. Not at all. I do find some of his insults amusing but I've never liker him as a character and I never felt any sort of compassion towards him. It might have something to do with the fact that James Potter is my favorite character ^^;; Still, I think you did a wonderful job keeping him IC and describing the friendship between Snape and McGonagall and how difficult their relationship was at some points.

Thanks for sharing such a wonderful story.

I totally appreciate the honesty :-)

Most of my one-shots are meant to help guide me as I'm writing my bigger stories; writing certain ones to get my head into a character. I've written Draco and Pansy too, because I hated simply writing them as sort of stock bullies. This was one of those stories that really sprung up once I posted the chapter with Terry's torture. I just started thinking about the history of Minerva/Snape's friendship, and this kind of came out.

I can't help it, but I adore Snape, but only as the pig-headed, unforgiving, always holding a grudge bastard of a former Death Eater that he is. I don't like softening him up too much or anything, but I do always try to write him just a wee bit sympathetic. But only a little bit.

I think it has something to do with the fact that I'm in love with Alan Rickman--no matter that he plays a greasy-haired Dumbledore-murdering, Potter-hating Emo-Git!

I'm glad you liked it, though! Thanks.

Oh I hope you didn't misunderstand me. I have nothing against your Snape, I just don't like the character.

You did a great job writing him here with all his flows and *grumbles* qualities. And McGonagall was totally amazing.

I love Alan Rickman! His voice us like sex bottled up and he plays Snape wonderfully... doesn't make Snape any less of a slimy git, though ^^;; *is very much influenced by the Marauders here*

Not to worry dear, I totally knew you were talking about the character :-D I meant the honesty that you *sniff* don't like *sniffle* one of my favorites *wahhhh!*

Totally kidding, of course. I was just glad you were upfront that you didn't like him, but still stuck with the story and enjoyed it. I have to constantly defend the git on some of the other fanfic forums I frequent. More people hate Snape than like him it seems.

Him and Ron *grrrr!* I hate it when people don't get Ron. I mean . . . IT'S RON!!!

I'm actually (slowly) getting into Marauders/First Order fic. Which means I'll be checking out your James and Sirius works too!
