Yes, it is a rather knotty and perplexing problem! As you pointed out, there are as many theories for one sort of behavior or another as there are theorists. That said, I wish the news media could find it within their purview to show the better parts of humanity just once in awhile instead of the shit. Oh I don't mean they shouldn't report the troubling things that occur, but they do glorify them and personalize them, and generally stir the pot by how they report them.
All you need to do to get on TV is being some blowhard hatemonger, and they will find you and report on your asinine opinions.
As for the song, I had to laugh because even after 60 years most of the lyrics still do not need to be changed. Perhaps some different countries are rioting, but mostly it's the same shit; different day.
