For those of you who do not know, Masters of Horror is an anthology series that originally aired on Showtime back in 2005 I believe. There were 2 seasons, 26 episodes altogether. Mick Garris created the series to give horror directors a chance to create an hour-long episode of whatever they wanted. They were given creative freedom and had no limits ( Read more... )

Unfortunately, I have only seen two episodes of MOH - Family and The Damned Thing. Neither of them impressed me that much, but I've always been interested to see some more of the series. And now after seeing this picspam, I'm convinced I need to watch the rest, especially Cigarette Burns, The Fair-Haired Child and Valerie on the Stairs.

I can't say I don't blame you for not being impressed with Family. If that had been the first episode I had seen, I probably wouldn't be too fond of the series myself. The three episodes you picked to watch are all very good, so hopefully if you get around to watching them it will make you want to see the others.

I lovelovelove Masters of Horror. I watched so many episodes in October, but my favourites had to be Cigarette Burns, Imprint, The Fair-Haired Child, and Dance of the Dead. Awesome picspam!

Thanks for commenting! Have you seen all the episodes? I too love the first three you named but DotD was kinda bleh. I might grow to like it eventually because of who is in it. :)

I really liked the first season of Master's of Horror, I felt like the good episodes really made up for the bad ones. Can't comment of season 2, as I haven't seen it, but reading about it has renewed my interest in wanting to watch that season. I hadn't heard of Fear Itself until just now. I added it to my Netflix queue - sounds interesting.

This was a really entertaining read, thanks :D

P.S. Oh my god, you're the one who made the Leah Dizon mood theme! I've had that as my mood theme for the last year, I love it! It's so well made and all of the pictures work with the moods (which I can't say for most mood themes), thanks for making it :D

I think season 1 was a little better than the first. It had some rotten ones but my top 3 favorites are from season 1 so I like it more. Season 2 has some really good ones also so I would recommend watching it. Hopefully you like Fear Itself (which is very similar to MOH, except it is a lot more tame). I actually like all but 2 of the episodes in the series a lot.

And yes! Leah Dizon is my girl! ♥ I was so sad when her community got deleted. =( I'm glad you like the theme though!

Thanks for commenting. If I remember right, a lot of them are 'on demand' correct? You should watch a few whenever you get bored & curious :)

Thanks bb! If you're talking about Netflix, yes they are on demand. At least I know some season 2 ones are.
