My 25 Favorite Tales From the Crypt Episodes
So...I've been MIA for a really REALLY long time and I have made an entry here and there but not many replies so I figured the way I could "come back" is with a picspam. I don't know if there are many fans of the show out there but I'm a HUGE super TFTC fan - in fact, if 24 didn't exist this would easily be my favorite show. And I would love to meet at least one person out there as obsessed with this show as I am. I'm hoping - by this spam, obviously - that some of you might become interested and check it out. All the episodes can be found on Youtube, you just have to do some super sleuthing for seasons 5-7.

Oil's Well That Ends Well
Season 5
John Kassir! In the first and last frames! :D Back when I first started seasons 1 and 5, this was my #1 because of him. I have a super-massive crush on him. Looking back at it the episode isn't all around special, he was just great.

Season 3
This one is a little unique as I think there's only 1 or 2 small instances of gore, it's not really "horror", and it's the longest TFTC episode standing at 35 (or 39?) minutes. I wasn't expecting to like this but I was pleasantly surprised. Like I said, it's not really horror but it's definitely ironic like the show is always known for.

Argh! This is one of those episodes where the bad guys infuriate you so much and you can't wait to see their demise! What a truly classic justice-is-given scene!

Forever Ambergris
Season 5
I love the acting in this and the cinematography (though my caps don't do it justice) are so pretty. I wasn't expecting to like this but by the end it really came around. Plus this is one of the few episodes where the husband/wife are really endearing.

Split Personality
Season 4
A rather boring episode until the end (a lot of the eps are actually like this). The ending is what makes the episode. You just...have to watch it! The twins' voices are also kind of grating/cute. It's strange.

Season 2
This one definitely has one of the more interesting/semi-realistic premises. It's frustrating that she can't talk especially during some certain scenes but oh well. It's fun.

This is one that took multiple viewings with me. Quite honestly, I'm tired of vampires. Talk about overplayed and oversparkly...seriously. When I read the description I went in thinking I wouldn't like it - but the Alaskan setting is really nice and the soldiers are pretty hilarious.

Ughh Dylan McDermott- so hot....plus I really felt badly for the antagonist in this one. And also felt like the protagonist deserved it somewhat. Or maybe that's just me thinking Dylan is hot.

Abra Cadaver
Season 3
This episode I got the huge creeps from. I mean - you'd have to watch it - but I got very definite chills through most of the thing. It's also one of the more funny episodes ironically enough.

A Slight Case of Murder
Season 7
This is one that (through stalking IMDB) most fans don't really like and I don't know why. It's very funny and clever and full of twists and really good acting. Most fans hate S7 anyway so maybe that explains it.

I can't really explain my love for this one. Although I think the roughness between the two leads is kinda hot, but that goes without saying...pretty predictable but kind of intense near the end.

This one...BENDER! Making wisecracks and serving up people meat! How awesome! Plus Superman! :D The relationship between the married couple is adorable and pretty qt (as witnessed in the first frame).

This one I think is saved mostly by the fact that I like the whole 'haunted house and killings while live on tv' thing. Like Halloween: Resurrection which is so bad it's good. It gets VERY creepy towards the end and I just imagine myself watching one of those shows and seeing that happen live. Creepy!

Very interesting story. A criminal profiler investigating a suspect who so happens to be a horror writer/director/something so he knows the ins-and-outs of the criminal world. Whodunit? IDK but their banter is freaking amazing.

This reminds me so much of an early 90s slasher and I love it. I love the vibe of the whole thing, and its overall cheesiness.

Last Respects
Season 7
I'm a little ashamed I have this one on my list. The first time I saw it I really strongly disliked it. The acting was (and still is after multiple viewings) atrocious. Some things aren't really as they should be (like the frumpy curly haired woman being married? really?) And it seems as though all 3 characters changed personalities near the end. So why do I love it? So so laughably bad it's great! The curly haired woman is hilarious and I'm entranced by her voice.

Two For the Show

This episode really isn't what you'd expect. I was very pleasantly surprised by it, and one of the fewer non-supernatural-ish TFTC episodes I very much enjoy. This one has no creatures, demons, people coming back from the dead - just a very good story executed perfectly with likeable characters.

I love Christmas horror really. I'm a sucker for all of it - usually - no matter how bad. This one is kind of ridiculous but it has near-constant action as she's always being attacked. It's karma!

This one just never gets old. Very predictable but that's not always bad. I liked the general atmosphere of this episode.

The woman in this episode is so vile, she has ZERO decency...probably one of the worst assholes on the entire series. But oh her ending...left a big grin on my face because boy did she deserve it!!

Season 6
A definite fan favorite about a very interesting hot girl some wife beater met at a Halloween party. Pretty unique, though the ending was a tad unexplained...that can be ignored in place of the hot sex scene.

Roya Megnot & Tim Roth = the hottest TFTC couple evar! Look at frame 2! Aww she's such a qt. But...this episode was really good. I'm sure it leaves a lot to be desired for alot of fans but Tim is incredibly sexy in this episode plus he's a little violent which makes him sexier. Really sad ending though....

This almost made it to number 1! By a hair! Truly not scary at all but incredibly hilarious. Though it has John Lithgow - so...but so much fun. Really, don't watch this for horror - watch it for a laugh. A true gem in my eyes.

Ironically enough, my favorite episode is from the season that everyone hates. I really like this season but most don't...(my least favorite is 2 btw). I feel like most people think this is a rip-off of The Shining and it very well may be but I think the comics came before the book so...maybe it's vice versa. Anyway I love the hotel atmosphere, and overall creepiness. This episode will never get old, I love it!
