Kim? A little surprised it wasn't Puck of Pook's Hill or Rewards and Fairies, but perhaps those were a little too close to home. Not a surprise it was Kipling, though I don't think I'd have guessed Wind in the Willows as her second.

She's really NOT talking about sex, is she :-D

I (still) haven't read Kim, but perhaps it's just a question of length and depth - she was more of a novelist than a story-writer herself. I'd never have guessed WitW either, but come to think of it "The Whistler in the Dawn" sounds sort of like "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn"...no, that's all I've got.

Hah, no. But I've come round to the view that it's sincere lack of creative interest, not coyness. (And That's Okay, right, fandom? Cue earnest Tumblr scribblings about asexuality.)
